Richard D. Stromback, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Rich Stromback is an award winning entrepreneur who purchased a controlling interest in Ecology in December 2003. Upon acquiring his interest, Stromback negotiated strategic relationships to license Ecology's technology across of wide swath of markets, including the automotive, industrial and medical device markets. This included deals with DuPont, Guidant and Red Spot. Prior to Ecology, Stromback was the CEO of Web Group, a company he founded in 1997. Under Stromback's leadership, Web Group attained award winning growth from 1997 – 2002 and was recognized by Inc. magazine's 2002 "Inc. 500" as #189. A regular invitee to the elite World Economic Forum, Stromback was named a "Young Global Leader" by the organization in 2007. Stromback holds a bachelor's degree from Brandon University in Canada.

 

Dr. F. Thomas Krotine, Chief Operating Officer and President

F. Thomas Krotine, an industry veteran with over thirty-five years of coatings industry experience, is the Chief Operating Officer of Ecology. Krotine served most recently as chairman and lead investor of CV Materials, a supplier of porcelain enamel materials and coatings, where he led a turn-around and successful acquisition of the company by its primary competitor. Prior to his role at CV Materials, Krotine was the manger and principal investor of TK Holdings, which he formed to acquire equity holdings in small to medium-sized manufacturing companies, and served as vice president at Valspar Corporation where he managed the company's North American powder coating business. Krotine also spent 10 years as a senior vice president at Sherwin-Williams Company where he was responsible for technology management and corporate environmental and health compliance. Krotine holds a bachelor's degree, master's degree and Ph.D. in metallurgy and materials science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

David W. Morgan, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

David W. Morgan brings over twenty-six years of broad financial and operating experience to the Chief Financial Officer position. Morgan last served as the Chief Financial Officer for publicly-held TechTeam Global (NASDAQ: TEAM), a global provider of information technology and business process outsourcing support services. In his capacity as Chief Financial Officer, Morgan also served as the company's investor relations officer. His accomplishments included spearheading TechTeam's top-line revenue growth from $86 million in 2003 to $170 million in 2005, successfully achieving the company's first Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 affirmative certification of adequacy of internal controls and leading the acquisition of numerous companies in the United States, Europe, and the Far East. A noted investor-relations professional, Morgan personally handled investor relations contacts with over 200 buy-side and sell-side financial analysts and investors, successfully attracting three sell-side analysts to initiate coverage of the company. Morgan's investor relations efforts helped to double the company's institutional ownership and tripled the company's average daily trading volume. Most recently, Morgan served as a independent investor relations consultant, advising the senior management of several publicly-held companies on creating investor "pitch book" presentations, public relations, and organizing investor road shows. Morgan is a graduate of the University of Michigan with bachelor's degrees in both economics and political science.

 

Adam S. Tracy, Vice President

Adam S. Tracy, a licensed attorney with broad legal and business experience, is the General Counsel of Ecology. Tracy began his career in British Petroleum's commodities trading practice where he was charged with the development and execution of risk management strategies for the Southern United States' oil and gasoline markets. Later, Tracy transitioned to compliance position in which he was responsible for managing NYMEX and FTC compliance procedures. Upon entering private law practice, Tracy gained experience representing a diverse group of clients in a myriad of bankruptcy, securities, tax and general corporate matters. While with Ecology, Tracy successfully oversaw the Company's transition to a publicly-traded company in July, 2007. Tracy holds his law degree and masters in business administration from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to that, he earned a bachelor's degrees in both finance and computer applications from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.

 

Sally Judith Weine Ramsey, Vice President, New Product Development

Sally Judith Weine Ramsey is the founder of Ecology. She began her research in nano-engineered, ultra-violet curable, 100% solids coatings in 1990. Her breakthroughs in this research have given her recognition by industry groups as a pioneer and leader in this field. A graduate of the prestigious Bronx School of Science, Ramsey comes from a family of renowned chemists. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry with departmental honors from Hiram College, and attended graduate chemistry studies at Iowa State University.

 

Tim Tanner, Vice President, Business Development

A seasoned coatings industry veteran, Tim Tanner brings over twenty years of robust, cross-functional technical and business development experience to Ecology. Prior to coming to Ecology, Tanner served as UV Project Manager at Red Spot, a world leading UV coatings company. In that position, Tanner led the company’s business and market strategies in the UV curable markets, managing multiple projects with a combined market value of $375 million. That success followed his term as UV Product Manager, where Tanner was responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Red Spot’s UV business and product development policies, objectives and initiatives. Tanner’s efforts led to a 70% increase in domestic sales, a 50% increase in global sales and improved profitability by over 30%. In addition, Tanner’s technical competence led to a near-100% reduction in product-related issues. Other positions at Red Spot included UV Application Manager, where Tanner was charged with the development and evaluation of new UV curable technologies, products and customer coatings systems. Tanner holds his B.S. in Chemistry from Murray State University
