Experienced Coatings & Polymers Chemist

Ecology Coatings is seeking an experienced coatings and polymers chemist with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry to work at our Advanced Manufacturing facility in Akron, Ohio. Ecology Coatings is committed to supplying quality, environmentally safe products to our customers through the development and enhancement of new and improved clean-technologies  The desired candidate will be an integral part of fulfilling this commitment.

The desired candidate will be capable of resolving complex problems, developing new products/processes/technologies while maintaining existing product/process for assigned focus market area.  This candidate must be capable of working independently, planning resource needs, schedules, execution, and documentation of work.  Communication skills, business awareness, and technical expertise including the capability to make recommendations based on technical approaches/processes are required.  This individual may train and develop technicians.  Thorough understanding of lab safety protocol in a team environment with limited supervision is essential functions of this position.

Experience Required:
5-10 years coatings experience

To Apply:
Qualified candidates must have 5-10 years experience in the coatings and polymers industry, this is NOT an entry-level position.  Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time bases, without sponsorship or restrictions.  Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.  Excellent communications skills, demonstrated leadership ability, a good work ethic and an interest to work in an active "roll up your sleeves" environment are necessary qualifications.  Candidates should submit their resume to careers@ecologycoatings.com with the word "Chemist" in the subject line.
