Ecology Coatings’ primary mission always has been to develop low cost, performance-enhanced products for a cleaner world and environmental sustainability. We constantly pursue the most up-to-date testing procedures and participate in green research projects. We are proud of our history as green technology pioneers and will take the requisite steps to continue on this path.

Ecology Coatings uses no solvents or water in its coatings, which are designed to spray with very high transfer efficiency, minimizing emissions. In addition, our coatings are virtually 100 percent reclaimable, which greatly minimizes waste and cost. Any coating which does not transfer to coated objects may be reused without change, as no loss of liquid or vapor takes place during application.

Particles in our coatings are surrounded by organic material, which minimizes air releases. While we always urge the utmost caution in terms of respiratory equipment and ventilation, the coatings are formulated to greatly minimize any such hazards. Our system promotes the highest possible transfer efficiency and the lowest possible environmental releases.

Another aspect of Ecology Coatings' environmental stewardship is the minimization of energy usage. The high speed of our UV-curing process reduces energy usage by up to 80 percent over conventional processes. Replacing curing systems, such as gas-fired ovens, with UV-curing systems greatly decreases production of greenhouse gases. Since our curing process uses a smaller footprint than conventional coatings systems, energy requirements for plant floor space construction and operation are substantially reduced.
