Ecology Coatings has the nanotechnology experience to supercharge a coating from good to outstanding.

The appropriate formulation of nanoparticles into coatings results in coatings that are scuff and abrasion resistant. That, however, is only part of the story.
Coatings provide barriers that are needed to protect products. Examples of products that require protection include inks on labels and packaging, easily scratched plastics and metals. Typical sized particles in coatings often do not provide a complete and effective barrier. But when Ecology Coatings incorporates the appropriate nanoparticles, they fill in the nano-sized gaps between particles, allowing the coating to be far more impenetrable by water, air and chemicals.
Nanotechnology also provides other benefits. Since the particles are smaller than the wavelengths of visible light, they don't scatter the light. Thus, a coating can be loaded with nanoparticles and yet retain optical clarity.
Nanotechnology also can be used to affect the applied flow characteristics of coatings. Coatings with nanoparticles provide better coverage, requiring less coating. The coating with nanoparticles will be smoother and more attractive.
