Ecology Coatings has the ability to differentiate itself from all other UV formulators via the use of optimum chemistry choices and its unique use of nanotechnology. Other companies produce UV hard coat products, but either do not utilize nanotechnology or do not use it in an optimal way.
We are exploiting this advantage with wide-web, high volume film converters who add value to a number of film products. Our current efforts are focused on enhanced plastic applications, where added scuff, abrasion and chemical resistance is required. Films such as polyester (PET), acrylic (PVC) and poly propylene (PP) are used for high tech identification cards, graphic arts displays, and automotive and military applications that need clear and matte UV hard coats. Other applications are involved in the construction of touch screens and membrane switches for the electronic markets, which also require the added value of functional UV coatings.
